Remember; a daily dose of positive self talk will help change your mood and the way you think. A daily self-care plan will help to maintain this.

* CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is based on the belief that the way we feel and behave is a direct result of the way we think. It is not our external environment (people, situations, or events) that are the cause but how we think about them. By changing our negative thoughts to more balanced and positive ones, we can then feel and act in a healthier way.

* SFT (Solution Focus Therapy) focuses on the solution to the problem that brought a person to therapy, rather than the problem itself. This is done by looking towards the future instead of the past and looking for what has or had been working; along with setting realistic and attainable goals.

* Play Therapy is a type of therapy that uses play to help the child communicate what is distressing them, since children are not always able to express themselves verbally. In the the way talk therapy works in adults; children process through play and will act out issues in their play. Play is an important part of a child's world.

Don't let Covid-19 get in the way of your self-care.

Self-care includes doing things that make you relax and turn off the mind from the busy day. Making time for yourself can be one of the hardest things to incorporate, either before or after a busy day, but self-care is one of the most important and best things you can do for yourself.

Self-care examples include but are not limited to:

Having a nice relaxing bath

Coffee/tea with friends (even through Skype)

Eating well and drinking lots of water

Going to your spiritual advisor or place of healing (over the phone or on social media)

Spring Time
